Groups visiting Hochsauerland:
January 2019 - Staff from West Lothian Instrumental Music Service visiting HSK assisted and played in the Meschede Wind Band Annual Concert.
June 2019 - Following the previous
year's successful visit of University students from HSK to West
Lothian College, Cllr Chris Horne and chairperson Liz Liddell were
invited to establish further links in HSK.
November 2019 - Two school English teachers and two senior pupils attended a storytelling group weekend in Arnsberg, reading passages from their favourite books.
Groups visiting West Lothian:
May 2019 - International Strings
Project : this annual programme involves students participating in
joint workshops and rehearsals as well as social activites during a
5-day visit. This year's event was hosted by the Scottish students
at West Linton.
This is one of the most successful joint projects initiated by the
late head of the HSK Music School, Georg Scheuerlein. It was very
positive to see his successor Marcus Kopf visiting Scotland for the
first time with his German students.
There were 40 HSK students and 30 from West Lothian. (fewer than
normal due to the restructuring of the Instrumental Music Services
department of West Lothian).
July 2019 - 16 HSK students stayed at Linlithgow's Low Port Centre as part of the recently-revived 2 year reciprocal Youth Exchange initiative.
October 2019 - 10 members of the HSK twinning committee visited West Lothian and enjoyed a varied programme pulled together by their Scottish counterparts.
